When the goalkeeper charges, tap Q and the ball floats over him. In Real Match the chip must drop in time, or it goes over the bar.
In Real Match, lob the ball into the box for a team-mate. As it drops a ring shows up around it: kick on the green ring for a header (aim it with the movement keys), on the orange ring for a volley, the hardest shot in the game. Practise with the header and volley balls in training mode.
Too awkward to shoot? Run under the dropping ball without kicking. It drops dead at your feet and you can pick your shot.
Hitting a pass without stopping it gives the keeper no time to set. It earns the FIRST TIME tag when it goes in.
A bank shot off the wall comes from an angle the keeper does not expect, and earns a BANK tag. Long shots from distance get LONG RANGE.
When the ball is squeezed between you and a defender it shoots out fast. Step into the defender's path at the right moment and the pinch becomes a shot.
